The story

A long-strap sling in pale tan, cut narrow so it sits flat against the body rather than swinging.

The strap is a single length of leather, not pieced, which is why it’s the most expensive part of the bag and why it won’t fail where a joined strap would. Adjustable through a hand-set brass slide.

Named for Lamu. Made by us.

Materials & dimensions

Full-grain leather, hand-cut and stitched, solid brass hardware, hand-burnished edges.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Keep out of direct sun. Feed with a neutral leather balm two or three times a year — more if you wear them hard.

Lamu, on the Swahili coast, has been making leather by hand for centuries. A travelling island, a travelling bag.
