Dudu is an Nguni term of endearment. It is what you call someone small that you love. These are made in the same workshop, from the same hides, by the same hands as everything else we make, only very much smaller and very much softer.

How they are made
A first shoe should not correct a foot. It should protect it and then get out of the way. No stiff toe box, no hard heel, no arch support a toddler does not need. Soft leather, a sole that folds flat in your hand, and an elasticated back so it stays on a foot that has not learned to keep still.
Every pair is cut and stitched by hand, which is why no two flowers, stars or bows sit in exactly the same place. Sizes run from newborn to two years. If you are buying as a gift and you are guessing, size up. They grow into them faster than anyone expects.

Everything on this site is cut and stitched in our workshop at the Oriental Plaza, and everything we have in stock is on the shelf in front of it. Walk in, try on half a size either way, and watch the next pair being made while you decide. We repair and restore leather shoes and bags here too.
